Ever since Justin Lemire-Enmore from Canada invented the first Cycle Analyst, we have been following this device and its evolvement.
The Cycle Analyst, or CA, is a cult product with a large number of followers which congrgate in speciality e-bike forums around the world, with the Endless Sphere Forum thread being the main one. The current CA is called the version 3, hence CA3.
The CA3 is the hub of many e-bikes around the world, whose owners want to tune their e-bike's behaviour to suit their induvidual wishes.
The current Cycle Analyst V3 standard model CA3-DP is attached to your handlebar with a plastic clamp and has 5 cables extending from the rear housing, terminated with a number of JST connectors, a programming socket and a power Jack. The Cycle Analyst CA3-DPS has an additional cable with a speed sensor extending from its rear housing.

In a first step, we take this CA3 and strip it down. With the exception of the programming socket, we remove all cables and replace them with HIGO cable connectors. We fit a GORE© pressure equalising valve to the rear housing shell, and waterproof the CA3 housing to IP66 by sealing it completely.
In a second step, we go further and only keep the front housing half and the board with the LCD screen. We replace the standard rear housing half with one that we printed in 3D. Apart from the main cable connector, we can fit up to 10 HIGO panelmount connectors.
We are using special mounting brackets that allow you to install the CA3-CX (C for Custom and X for a roman 10) without having to remove anything from the handlebar ends on 31.8 and 35 mm tube diameter.
We hope you enjoy this documentation and that you can gain valuable information on the tuning of your Cycle Analyst V3.
